Performance and Teaching of Cardiovascular and Resistance Training

This course teaches cardiovascular fitness and resistance training activities in health and fitness settings. It covers basic muscle anatomy, safety and proper techniques, equipment options, aerobic fitness, exercise prescription, basic training principles, and lifetime fitness activities. This course will mainly focus on being placed on the design, planning, and teaching of these activities.

Reflection:

During my time participating in this course, I learned how to construct a cardio and resistance training exercise program. These assignments have taught me how to organize constructive exercises and how important it is to create them under the FITT principles and other concepts we have learned during this course. After constructing these workouts, I have learned to lead groups of my classmates to practice these exercises and how important it is to show how to properly participate in the exercise and the correct techniques to fully have a proper workout session. I have learned leadership and communication skills throughout this semester in this course by leading the students with the constructed workout I have created and how to communicate with my partner and classmates on how the session was going.
